Best way to tag a city / town
I see different approaches for tagging a city. I normally tag it like:
name=...
boundary=administrative
admin_level=8
place=city (or town)
landuse=residential
layer=-1
However whatever I try, maplint marks it with the warning ("Not in map feature"), so it looks like I'm doing something wrong.
Is there some consensus how to tag a city or does anybody know whey maplint is complaining?

Not in map feature means that maplint does not recognise the tagging which doesn't mean anything by itself. Think of it as not complaining but rather a notice.

Re: Best way to tag a city / town
I know, but since I see different ways to tag cities, I was wondering what the most common way is.
