Name for a mountain path

Hi,
if I want to map a mountain path (highway=path),
is it better to put the name of the path or not? (name=xxx)
I’ve seen some add the name, others don’t…

In case, the path indeed has a name, e.g. it is written on a guidepost, or the locals refer to it by this, then of course you should put the name on it. I also tag destinations on guideposts. Imagine directions by a navigational aid: “Follow ‘Stangensteig’ up until the second guidepost that reads ‘Rauschbrunnen.’” That would be nice :wink:

Yes, some payh that I would like to map have names (not on the guides, but for the locals). I’ll add the name then.
