Newbie: What is "Grasshopper" vs "OSRM"

When mapping a route, there are options for “CAR (OSRM)” and “CAR (Grasshopper)”

I’m curious as to the meanings of OSRM and Grasshopper in this context?

it is named GraphHopper …

Yep, it’s pretty much just different software for route calculation. :slight_smile:

Both are using OpenStreetMap data, but have somewhat different assumptions, preferences and algorithms built in, so you may occasionally get different route suggestions.
