Is there a way to update many fatures at one??

We have a GPS system that uses OpenStreet map for tracking. Malawi Map has many features missing from OpenStreet map. As much as we try to update the map manually, this will take us a long time to match what other maps have. So I was wondering, is there a way we can update a lot of features at the same time (In a batch like manner). Am not sure how this could be done but am just thinking if someone has managed to update a lot of features at once.

Update or add? What exactly do you want to do? In iD you can add tags to multiple features if you select them.
