'Internal driver feedback'

Plenty of notes say ‘I have made X change as a result of internal driver feedback’, or ‘I have internal driver feedback that X’, and then ‘could local mappers please confirm’.

These seem to be organised edits, but the users don’t reference their organisation (if I’m right that it’s organised).

Just out of interest, anyone know what these are?

Amazon maybe? Ask the Germans

Any chance of a link to an example note? Based on the form of words I have an idea who it might be but with an example I could follow the links, if any.

Ah yes, that would have been more useful:

[edit] Oh and as I imagine I don’t need to mention, there’s plenty to be found by Ctrl-F here: http://resultmaps.neis-one.org/osm-notes-country?c=United%20Kingdom

Yes - as RicoElectrico suspected, Amazon Logistics. The note says “Created by rkkapilk 1 day ago” and the user link is to https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/rkkapilk which says “I work for Amazon Logistics.”

I’ve suggested in the past that they try and get a bit more information out of their drivers, but I suspect they’re too busy distributing parcels to do that.

There’s a recent thread on the OSM subreddit on the same issue, with comments from an Amazon driver.

Heavens! Another OSM channel!!

Thanks, I will add it to my list

Just wondered - have you seen https://openstreetmap.community/ ? Even that’s missing lots of the groups at https://www.openstreetmap.de/karte.html .

No I hadn’t - brilliant, thank you.
