Working with POI's...bigger symbols/nodes?

I've been using JOSM for editing ways and such and that works just fine.

I'm getting into editing POI's though and finding some difficulties here.

If I bring up a GPX file with waypoint in it for POI's I've found to use as an overlay, I cannot see the waypoints because they end up being tiny nodes.

Same thing when searching and filtering for existing POI's, they just end up so tiny unless you zoom way into them.   The only way I've been able to find them is by drawing a selection box around an area to see if any nodes are there that get selected.

Are there other tools that might be more useful for this work or maybe a setup in JOSM to make working with POI's easier?

Thanks,

You can edit the size of the waypoints in "preference" I think in GSP points
