I noticed that the maplint layer does not work on openstreetmap.org. When I select “maplint” in the menu under the + sign (top right of the map), I don’t see any difference. Whether I use mapnik or osmarender. However, if I do the same on informationfreeway.org, the maplint layer actually shows some mapping/tagging mistakes in my neighbourhood.
