Boundaries between farmland

Hi all!

I'm mapping some roads and building in the north part of Sri Lanka.
Now I run into an area were boundaries between the farmlands are clearly visible and I would like to add them.
But what tag should I use? It's a mix of trees, shrubs man made fence.
I'm hesitating to use =hedge or =fence.

Somebody any idea?

Regards,

Theo

Re: Boundaries between farmland

From the look of these I'd say barrier=hedge is perfectly OK. "shrub" is basically a superset of those anyway, and whether or not there is a man-made fence involved here and there doesn't make much of a difference in practice and would be impossible to tell without detailed ground surveys. As I'm sure you've seen some Sri Lankan administrative bodies have been adding a lot of survey data to OSM, and not even they are working on this level of detail.
