Lane Assist - navigation instructions

Hi,

How can I add / edit lane assistance (navigation instructions) on OSM?
A few days ago, while I was driving, I had to choose between two roads but OSM only indicated to continue straight on. Seemed to be the right road, but I would suggest a lane assistance.

I tried with iD - editor, but could not find that option

You probably want to have a look at the lanes tag and the uses of the :lane suffix, like turn:lane and destination:lane that are linked there.
