How to deal with old Magellan Companion files in today's world

I have four files with names like MagellanDB01001000400019000000.PDB stored in an old Palm OS folder and format.  I believe they hold tracks and routes from the old days of a Magellan Companion add-on for my Handspring Visor.

Here's the first line of the file (as Notepad displays it):
MagellanDB01001000400019000000    TÖ?TTÖ?bTÖ?b   {        MGDBMGmp

I'm guessing that the last group of letters may have meaning.

Magellan support currently knows NOTHING about the Companion and its file formats.

Does anyone here possibly have info?
