Worldwide routable Garmin maps: URL REMOVED

Styles are here: https://github.com/ligfietser/mkgmap-style-sheets/tree/master/styles/Openfietsmap%20full

Args file is here: https://github.com/ligfietser/mkgmap-style-sheets/blob/master/styles/Openfietsmap%20full/mkgmap.args

You need to specify a typ file otherwise the whole map is screwed up. Use this type file (is the same for both full and light version): https://github.com/ligfietser/mkgmap-style-sheets/blob/master/typ/Openfietsmap%20lite/20011.txt

Car routing is not supported at all so I guess something went wrong in your compilation.

Thanks for helping me to get started! Indeed it was the fault of passing the --style-file option after templates.args

BTW: The service at http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl seems to work again

Having some similar problems accessing the above site ā€¦ when selecting a predefined set of maps (Thailand, in my case), the download now link shows </script>");} ā€™ target=ā€˜_blankā€™>Download map now!

Examination of the full link address shows that its seems to contain a Data Miner.

Now, I have run a number of Malware checker programs including Malwarebytes, which says my PC is clean, but of course, it could be wrong Is anyone else experiencing this behaviour ?

I see this download link for generic new style + Thailand:

Russ, I dont see this behaviour. Maybe your computer is infected?

Gerd, thanks.
Ligfietser - Yes, Iā€™m quite mindful of the fact the problem is local ā€¦ and have been doing some more checking. When I open your site using a different network connection (4g Hotspot), the problem goes away. I normally connect through a condo community Wifi network and I strongly suspect this has been compromised.
Cheers, Russ.

Tried to download the file osm_generic_new_gmapsupp.zip as well as osm_generic_gmapsupp.zip (south korea) but it comes down as a .img file. When I click on it it says that it is not a mountable image.

The .zip files are supposed to contain a .img file. This file is not meant to be mounted as a disk, so double-clicking it wonā€™t do anything you want. You need to copy it to your device, which can then read it as a Garmin map file.

Is anyone else having trouble loading the site?

What is happening with the website? The data doesnā€™t load on the websiteā€™s interface. I tried on different browsers and devicesā€¦

Yep the Wuppertal server is offline, maybe maintainance? I canā€™t update my maps too.
Try it later.

Still unavailableā€¦

Try another provider until it comes availableā€¦

Yes thanks I knew about that. I want something specific that only this site provides

Thanks for that!

Seems that due to construction works the servers are down this week. Try it later or use another service.

Create your own map instead? See https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin#Creating_your_own_maps_from_OSM_data and for a simple worked example, https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/SomeoneElse/diary/38613 .

thanks.
nice to know. have tried a couple of days. lot of frustration

I donā€™t think that there is another service which allows me to create a single map with disjoint tiles is there?

It would be helpful if the ā€œServer Status:ā€ area on the web page was updated with an ETAā€¦
