Worldwide routable Garmin maps: URL REMOVED

I’m having the same problem when requesting the download link.
Any solution?

There are many, many solutions.
Try another provider https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download
https://download.bbbike.org/osm/ site is very reliable.

Same here:(

Warning: include_once(/dCachePool1/data/garmin_combine/cache_time.php): failed to open stream: Input/output error in /dCachePool2/data/garmin_web/garmin/request-combine.php on line 5 Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/dCachePool1/data/garmin_combine/cache_time.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /dCachePool2/data/garmin_web/garmin/request-combine.php on line 5

The only one who can fix this is the owner for that site, Lambertus.
Unfortunately he hasnt been here on this forum for ages and hardly responds to email messages but you can try:

I get the following message when clicking “Build my map”:

What am I doing wrong? It has been a while since I last used your service on http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
Have there been changes I am unaware of?

I appreciate tips and help,
Thank you,
Jurgen

Nothing. The service is broken, see previous posts for alternatives

Hi Guys,

I am new to this and have been trying to download map tiles for Garmin from Free Maps for Garmin Bradn GPS devices. I am trying to download Routable Bicycle (Openfietsmap Lite). I can select tiles and enter my email address but when I click on Build my Map another page opens with the following:

Warning: include_once(/dCachePool1/data/garmin_combine/cache_time.php): failed to open stream: Input/output error in /dCachePool2/data/garmin_web/garmin/request-combine.php on line 5 Warning: include_once(): Failed opening ‘/dCachePool1/data/garmin_combine/cache_time.php’ for inclusion (include_path=‘.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php’) in /dCachePool2/data/garmin_web/garmin/request-combine.php on line 5

Just wondering if I am doing something wrong. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello, I’m writing for help.

At the end of March I will travel to Bhutan and I am reviewing the maps of the area, incidentally they have quite a few errors, to be able to carry more accurate maps in the GPS, Garmin Montana.

There’s a problem I can’t solve, your position is this:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/27.53799/90.80867

I modified the position of the roads to better match the photographs and put the bridge in position.

No matter how many experiments I do, I can’t make a route that crosses the bridge. Some point at its northern end prevents crossing the river. Instead, he looks for alternatives in the south, which do have a connection. (90 km. vs. 150 m.)

The link below is a sample

https://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=graphhopper_car&route=27.5381%2C90.8083%3B27.5377%2C90.8086#map=18/27.53735/90.80873

I appreciate any help or suggestion.

Greetings.

Correction:
I just checked that selecting ‘by car (OSRM)’ works well.
It has taken more than 12 hours to do so.

Not sure how this is related to Garmin maps but probably Graphhopper is not yet using your latest changes.

I am trying to download some routable cycling maps for Australia. Have previously done so for France. Despite selecting the relevant tiles the web site doesn’t appear to recognise that I have done so and still asks me to make a selection first. There is no download link. Am I doing something wrong?

thanks

No. The service is broken, see #2911 for alternatives.

Bom dia!
Alguém sabe o formato correto para baixar o mapa no site
https://download.bbbike.org/osm/
e rodar no garmin edge 520?

Everything in that list with “Garmin” They only differ in style. OSM is the basic Garmin style (very ugly), or you can choose cycle map, leisure (freizeitkarte), OpenFietsMap, OpenSeaMap, OpenTopoMap, and BBBike.

Hello Forum!

First, let me thank of all the work contributed to Openfietsmap!

I am trying to do roadbike-routing with Garmin Basecamp and OFM (Alps), but it seems that cobblestone roads are unpaved and excluded from routing. (My activity is “car” with “avoid unpaved roads”)

Is this a bug, intended or am I overlooking something?

Thanks!

Yes that is intended behaviour, unfortunately Garmin has only two options, avoid it “on” or “off” not something in between.
Same could be said about gravel tracks with a smooth rideable surface. Those will be avoided too, unfortunately. Until it has rained heavily, then you will be happy that the OFM avoids them. But I agree routing is far from perfect. You only can try bicycle as activity instead of cars, it will choose more unpaved possibilities.

Thanks for the clarification.

I totally disagree that routing is far from perfect, I do get very good results for my taste.
I totally agree, that every bike-rider has different preferences regarding surface and routing.

I tried to build the map on my own and tweak the style a bit but I failed*. Is the “Openfietsmap full” style in the github repo the one that is used for the maps to download? Which typ is used?

It was the first time I fired up mkgmap, so there are plenty of things I might habe down wrong. Just wanted to be sure I am using the correct input for my expected

  • the car profile of the created map behaved like for real cars. Either it used a default style or I was passing the wrong style to mkgmap
