As a lighter solution to eg. Umap to display waypoints on a map, I was wondering if there were a way to turn a GPX file into a zoomable vector-based picture such as SVG?
That way, I could simply upload a file to my web server instead of bothering with Umap, Leaflet, etc.
I have little GIS experience, and the GDAL site contains no tutorial on how to build a 1) zoomable map from OSM (with just the main roads; would be good enough) and 2) include waypoints from a GPX.
