Map translation (localization)
Hello,
What is the most convenient way to translate map?
Is there app, where I can just type name of the desired entity and provide localized "name:XX" tags? I do not want to think about nodes, relations, polygons, ways and all other details. Maximum three mouse clicks: Search, Edit and Save.

Re: Map translation (localization)
Using the JOSM editor one can:
1. Click on an object that has the name you want to translate, for example a segment of a road.
2. Right click on the name entry in the "objects" area and select "search Key/Value" to select all objects with that name. For example all parts of a road with the name of interest.
3. Click on the "Add" button in the objects area to add a new tag, enter the language specific tag. Key of form "name:XX" where XX is the language code.
However, the translated name shouldn't just be a transliterated or translated version of the local name. It should be the name that the road/building/city/etc. are actually called in the translated language. Often/usually this will require local knowledge and should not be done remotely or mechanically.
