На самом деле это уже 1700-ое предложение порисовать какие-то пампасы, якобы для нужд гуманитарных организаций, но никакой обратной связи от этих организаций нет. Используют ли они вообще ОСМ - не понятно. Вот в Крымске была обратная связь, на Гаити была. Мне кажется, важность отрисовки таких вот мест бедствий сильно преувеличена. Но я свои несколько озер в Эквадоре нарисовал, если что.

Так рисовое поле - это и есть озеро. Рис на мелководье растет.

And yes, they use OSM maps and say thank you. Recently there is no time to make big communication wit the rest of the world. The situation is really bad there. When you remember action with mapping of Nepal: We saw thank you words from Kathmandu Living Maps to the mapper from the world two weeks after earthquake.

Such countries are simply to poor to have more exactly emergency maps and first after huge disaster our community makes it.

Если быть точным не "озеро" - а "водная поверхность", озеро получается из водной поверхности уточнением в теге water=lake.
я бы отметил как water, потом кто знаком с тегированием рисовых полей, жополнит их нужными тегами.

Yes, they said "thank you" to all volunteers that improved their favorite map in their country. I also took some part in this improvement.
But, as I can see, all disaster relief activities of Kathmandu Living Labs could be done using any other online map, like Google maps. And there are no traces of using OSM on the ground.

As Kathmandu Living Labs wrote: " KLL’s Quakemap.org was toiling hard to get tents and tarps to earthquake survivors". And they are right: tents are more valuable than maps.

Well, of course, there are Google maps as well, but no OSMand.
And now, after this huge help action the government of Nepal uses more and more OSM: They set 300 people to the KLL. They shold now go through Nepal and collect Data.
If it really works, we, the OSM community, have an good example for other developing countries.
In my eyes the long term goal is to use OSM instead of Google maps.

And personally: Thank you Mir76 for your contribution in Nepal.
Using and making OSM we all fight less or more against banksters.

Замаплены они в основном. Снимки старые -- мапят либо как есть, по снимкам 5-6 летней давности, либо откуда не возьмись шоссе. Без треков.

the nepali army and police officers learn OSM. It is the result of our all help, because the government saw, how incredibly fast was the improvement of OSM map in Nepal after earthquake.
