Feature Type Request - Scout Group

Might it be possible to have a feature type for a scout group with the fleur-de-lys symbol?

If it is possible, would I need to help to make it happen somehow?

Assuming you are talking about the standard map on osm.org, you need to create an issue on https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto . You need (yet) another account to do that. Even when you created the issue, it does not mean that the maintainers will add the symbol. They try to keep a readable map and this is not possible when they fulfil all requests to put icons on the map for every thinkable feature. Don't forget to mention the correct tags that are needed before the scout groups become available. IMHO, it would be better to ask for a symbol for all youth groups, as in other countries, there are similar organisations (e.g. in Belgium you have KSA, KLJ, etc)

There are other procedures to ask for changes on the tranport, humanitarian, etc maps.

An alternative is to create your own map. There are several possibilities here: render yourself, use a Javascript Library to add icons on top of the standard rendering or use something like umap.

It depends on your needs and technical knowledge.
