Rectified Image

Hi all

I’m trying to add a photo I took as a background layer in JOSM.

From reading the help docs, I see that I have to upload the image to MetaCarta, then link to it that way.

I uploaded the image and added control points ok, got the link and added the layer in JOSM.
Josm says “WMS layer (MetaCarta Map Rectifier (7495)), automatically downloading in zoom 125.5 m”, but nothing ever appears, apart from a few single grey pixels around the approximate area.

I’m pretty certain the upload/rectification worked ok; I can download the .tif which looks ok, and I was able to add the wms link as a new layer to the right-hand map on the upload webpage (just to see whether it would work, which it did).

Any ideas why it’s not displaying in JOSM?

Many thanks

Nick

No solution for the way you tried, but as an alternative, try the JOSM-plugin PicLayer.

Ah, that’s exactly what I was originally hoping for.

Many thanks
