maps in Basecamp software
Hi
I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I have looked through some of the postings for the answer but not found what I am looking for.
I have Open Street Maps on my Garmin GPSMAP62 and its fine. I downloaded this from Talkytoaster.
I used to have the same Open Street Maps within basecamp I am sure. I recently had to do a complete re-install of win7 and all programs on a new hard drive.. A right ball ache and it took a lot of time. Having done this Open Street Maps has gone from my new re-install of basecamp? It used to sit under the "global map" drop-down or "view" "map product"..but. Its not there anymore. I don't remember having to install it last time but as I am a bit forgetful maybe I did and just cant remember.
Have I completely imagined OSM being available under bacecamp or is it possible?
How do I install it?
When I plug the 62s into the USB port its not showing up even then.
Any suggestions please?
Thanks in advance.. Sorry if this is a dumb question...

Re: maps in Basecamp software
BaseCamp needs registry settings to find your maps. The easiest way is probably to download the installable version again from garmin.openstreetmap.nl or Talkytoaster (or run it again if you still have it). The installer will set up the registry as needed. You can also use JavaWa Device Manager to make the maps on your 62 viewable in BaseCamp.
