The key "smoothness’’ is missing in JOSM selection list.
Should we avoid this tag? But according to wiki page this attribute is used by more than 100’000 elements.

Somewhen last year I submitted a patch for the smoothness key (see http://josm.openstreetmap.de/ticket/6881)). JOSM development decided not to use this patch…
You can modify your preset file, and include smoothness there. But how many other people will use that key then?
It is no problem to add any attribute in JOSM. But I’d like to avoid being one of the few who use special tags. According to your remark “smothness” is quite special and not well supported, in contrary to statements in the wiki pages?
