What happened to EuroVelo10?

Hello,
I noticed today that EV10 (see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Wiki … e/EuroVelo , relation http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/63584 ) is practicaly wiped out. I remember last year it was much more throughly mapped. I can't access it's history due to long retrival time. Can someone check it? if it's a vandalism, how can it be undone?

Ok, i did some more digging. I could get the history of relation through API (not the browser). It turn's out, that only latest modification wiped most of the relation - http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/changeset/8920515 , probably accidentally. Can somebody undo it? I can't seem to find such option.

That's the problem with such big relations. You want to cover thousands kilometers edited almost every day by dozen different contributors. 419 versions for EV10, 906 versions for EV2 ! Most of the contributors  don't understand what these relations are doing in their local data, especially when they are no evidence on the ground.

Well, can we do something about this? I believe the data necessary to retrive this route still is in the database, just I can't find out how to do that - that's what we have changesets, do we not?

Re: What happened to EuroVelo10?

I reverted it - some of the members had already been edited, so the 'route' is almost certainly broken by split ways.   There are a huge number of members - 33,000+ if I read correctly.    Perhaps some tool has a 32,768 member relation limit?

I would strongly agree with Pieren - this should be split into multiple regional relations on logical boundaries, then tied together with a super-relation http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Super-Relation .   It is very likely to be broken again in the near future.
