Shape files in OSM
Hi
Does OSM support displaying building shape files? For example dense ones like
http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewe … 8c27ccc007
Also, Arcgis says:
"ArcGIS Online map services are available at no cost regardless of use."
Does it mean their shapefiles can be downloaded from somewhere, and be used without license concerns by OSM?
Thanks
Bo

Re: Shape files in OSM
1.) To deal with shapefiles in OSM, have a look at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Shapefile
2.) When map data is available at no cost that does not mean you can use them for OSM due to its licence. Please read the whole Terms of Use at ArcGIS website there. Google Maps are also at no cost and we are NOT allowed to use ...
