Import with osmosis was very long

Hey all,

I imported a germany.osm file in my local postgresql database. The process took 4,5 days. I read that somebody imported UK.osm in 3 hours.
That is a big difference and I like to understand why my import was so slow.

Here are some tips on importing OSM data into Postgres and here too.
