Mapping of demolished railway lines
Hello,
In Lavrio, there are a lot of non-existent level crossings in reference to a long-demolished industrial railway network. According to https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Demolished_Railway, if a railway is gone without any clearly identifiable trace in terrain, it should not be mapped at all.
I am writing to ask what is the purpose of mapping long-demolished railway lines that do not exist any more on the ground.

No one has to be 100% perfect at OpenStreetMap.

Re: Mapping of demolished railway lines
I don't know about Lavrio, but for sure there are several parts of the old railway line all around Attica still visible in some way.
