Visualization of way points and photos on offline map for Linux - how?

Hi!

I have a set of photos with geo tags and corresponding GPS way points and tracks. I’m searching for an offline way to see way points on a map and pop up corresponding photos on mouse click. OS is Linux.

Is there a way to have at a desktop computer something like clickable way points with imported photos? I’m QmapShack (QlandkarteGT) user, however any Linux software will go.

Thank you!

P.S. Preferable map format is Garmin, as it is exactly same with map in outdoor GPS device. However it can be in any other format.
