Hi,
I’ve got a shapefile of the as designed route of a new road in the north west of England. I’ve compared to OSM and they don’t line up. Who can I share the files with to update OSM to be more accurate?

What is the origin of your shapefile?

Who has copyright on it?

Published using what licence?

Hi Stephan, the origin is the design of the carriageway, I work for the contractor who built it.
I’m uncertain of the copyright or license but would presume it to be Highways Englands.

I can speak with the HE Open Data officer, can you advise what I should ask/say on copyright/license?
I know that we’ve shared with TomTom & AA, so can’t see it being a problem.
