Importing a series of waypoints (csv format) into JOSM

Is there any way to import a series of waypoint nodes assembled as a csv file into JOSM?

It’s been a year or more since I last used JOSM and I’m pretty sure I was able to import a waypoint series before, but can’t for the life of me remember how I did it previously. I vaguely recall perhaps having to copy/paste the series into an ‘add point’ dialogue which permitted multiple waypoints to be added simultaneously, but again I can’t seem to find the command/dialogue box (I am using ‘expert mode’ in JOSM).

I’ve been searching through JOSM help wiki and elsewhere and can’t seem to find the answer.

Cheers!

I don’t know if you can import the csv in to Josm but you could use Gpsvisualizer to convert it to gpx and open the gpx in Josm
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input?convert_format=gpx.

I found these two Josm Plugins that can be used to import csv data too:
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/JOSM/Plugins/OpenData.

Thanks for the reply nevw.

The OpenData plugin was exactly what I was looking for and remembered using before as soon as I saw the dialogue from the ‘Lat Lon Tool’ (More Tools menu). I was correct in that it does allow copy/paste of a series of coordinates, and allows you to set the condition of the coordinate series to simply Nodes, a Way or a Closed Way (area).

Cheers fm Canada!
