Why is the gamma slider not working on the openstreetmap layer?

I have a JOSM_latest version 8985 ... and the gamma slider works for any data layer or a WMS OSM-Mapnik Tile Layer.
So please try to get a more recent version of JOSM.

I can not update because a used plugin do not work with the new latest version.
