Kenwood car unit with garmin navigation
I have a kenwood in dash car unit, a DNX521vbt http://www.kenwood.eu/products/car/navi … DNX521DAB/, this unit has garmin navigation built in.
I have downloaded the danish map for testing, http://osm.pleiades.uni-wuppertal.de/ga … 4e39195aa/.
placed the img file og the sd card in a /garmin folder, the unit regonizes the map.
BUT here is my problem.
it doesnt seem to use the highways in denmark. only the smaller roads??
with garmin map, a route = 2h 20min.
with OSM map, same route = 3h 33min.
the highways are visually shown on the map, but its not used on a routing...
what am i doing wrong?

I'm not sure but it looks like the Kenwood satnav is using a different profile then 'car routing'. Maybe the routing profile can be changed on you satnav?
