Wrong aspect ratio on downloaded maps of Sweden in Garmin format
Perhaps difficult to describe without being able to post a picture but my downloaded maps which I imported into Mapsource / Basecamp look quite distorted, the whole map lost width - the country looks compressed. The height is OK but the width looks like approx 50% of what it should be. The map is usable - yes - but it looks terrible. In both Mapsource and Basecamp.
Any settings in basecamp/mapsource I've gotten wrong or did something go wrong in the map generation?
I did a custom map with whole Sweden, a bit of Finland and a bit of Denmark.
All help appreciated :-)
/Roland

Press Alt-Ctrl-A in Mapsource.
Or can try JaVaWa GMTK http://www.javawa.nl/gmtk_en.html

In Mapsource press ctrl+Alt+A. Uncheck 'Automatic' and choose the geographical 'height' of your location - example: in the Netherlands it is 52. Restart Mapsource to see the effect. Basecamp may be will work alike?

Fantastic - job done!
Stockholm is on roughly 59 degrees so that made things much better. When I changed in MapSource Basecamp just followed suit.
Cheers guys,
