Converting IMG to OSM for use with GpsMid (J2ME mobile)

Hi,

i'm trying to find a way to convert some IMG files in public domain to the OSM format, for personal use in GpsMid (not for uploading to server). Can anyone help me?

Thanks

This isn't a good answer but it's the best I can give, there might be a better one!

I know someone wrote an .mp to osm converter on the mailing list, that script contains lots of magic values for Garmin files.
