Creating own map without OSM data - is it possible?

Hello all

I want create my own, detailed map of a little area, then add it to OSM. Is there a way to do it without using OSM data? Or I shoud use exists maps only?

You should not be using existing maps (unless they are like a hundred year old, i.e. out of copyright).

You can create your own map of an area, if you want to. No problems, you do not need a other part to provide you with data.
But if you plan to share the data with OpenStreetMap I do strongly recommend you to do incremental edits, as with any collaborate project, to avoid collisions.

I would like you to also clarify your question, I am not really sure I did understand you.
