I installed yesterday the new version of OsmAnd+ on my Nexus 4 smartphone with Android 5.1.1 using Google playstore.
I also installed some maps from that source.
When connected to the computer I cannot find any osmand related directory
This phone does not have a SD-Card, only a 16 Gb internal memory.
Where can I find the osmand home directory ?
and the directory where I can store gpx track from my computer?
Even if it does not have a physical SD card it should have a /sdcard directory and the path to the osmand files is /sdcard/osmand/ (at least that is where it is on my phone with no physical SD card).
On my Galaxy Nexus (Maguro), which has no SD memory slot, running stock 4.3, CyanogenMod 4.4 and currently a AOSP 5.1 and with various versions of Osmand including the current 2.1.1 here is where things are on my phone:
I can only access my phone via my notebook running windows7 with the explorer program. Don’t know if this is relevant
My Android version is: 5.1.1
Kernel version: 3.4.0.-perf-gdffc258
android build@vpee9.mtv.corp.google.com#1
wed jul 8 23:25:22 utc 2015
build no. LMY48I
My osmand version is 2.1.1 updated on june 20. 2015
IU checked all visible directories under the root \ and under android\data but there is no sdcard and no osmand directory (visible?)
please try to install a file browser on your android device, like TotalCommander or ES Explorer or similar.
My favourite is TotalCommander … it has a nice root page with links to internal or external sd card … and you can search for files/folders with “osmand” in its name.
Hi Stephan,
thank you very much. This TotalCommander is very helpful. I can see everything now that the windows based interface does not.
Feels very much linke my former home (Unix).
Long time ago since last post, but just installed OsmAnd+ and could not find the tracks nor osmand directory. Searched using OI File Manager for osmand but could not find it.
In the Setting of OsmAnd+ (version 2.3.5) under General Settngs the Data storage folder said “/data/data/net.osmand.plus/files/osmand/osmand”, but using OI File Manager I could not see any directory under /data.
Took some time but then installed the Root Explorer app and I could see there was a data dir under /data and yes, if I put a .gpx file in “/data/data/net.osmand.plus/files/osmand/osmand/tracks”, OsmAnd finds it. Problem fixed.
new android version , new location it seems like: Android 8.0.0, on my Oneplus 3T,
The GPX files you want to import can be copied to:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/net.osmand.plus/files/tracks/import
I use Total Commander to copy files from download folder to this OSMAND folder.
