In the last weeks, there has been introduced a new feature in Android’s play store app:
When selecting “My apps and games” in Play Store, you normally can choose to get listed INSTALLED apps or ALL apps,
now you have additionally BETA apps.
Read for example https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7003180?p=beta_testing&rd=1&hl=en
about that new feature.
So when you have a detailed look at each app you have installed on your device, maybe it is enabled by the developers for beta testing mode.
As far as I was able to investigate, there are at least four apps related to OpenStreetMap where you can become beta tester:
Marble Maps (based on KDE Marble) … see http://nienhueser.de/blog/ for details,
Mapillary
Be-on-road
geoMapTool … which seems to be quite new … I am interested in other user’s experience / feedback.
So are you able to see the option to join beta testing program?
Are there more OSM related apps with this beat feature?
What is the task when other app developers want to enable that feature for their apps if not done yet?
