It is common in the OSM India map to see sports and recreational fields marked with leisure = playground. However in OSM definitions this tag is only for ‘children’s playgrounds’; i.e. for small children, with swings, roundabouts, et.c. All areas used for other sports and recreation, certainly those used by teenager and adults should not be tagged as a playground (whatever their name is). The possible correct options include leisure = park, landuse = recreation_ground, and sometimes others.
