woodpeck_fixbot?

I was working on a section of highway that looked like no-one had touched, but then I noticed a major interchange looked like it had already been edited. The way history showed woodpeck-fixbot as the user. What’s that about?

I read the links that were posted. Does this mean that the script lined that intersection that well, and added bridges and stuff? Or was the Tiger data really just that good at that location?

I guess, my basic question is does this script mean I should stop worrying about fixing the highway? I can’t figure out how to look through the history of those ways to see what the script is actually capable of doing and what it’s not.

Hi - you may ignore that script; the recent runs only edit nodes “in place” to fix up the map data. Because the job was so large, it was performed in several steps to minimize disruption on active edits.

The script performs no typical Tiger fixups that require human intervention - obtained from newer, local knowlege, as well as typical motorway fixups. For all practical purposes, you may ignore woodpeck_fixbot for history purposes and go back to earlier versions to discover if any humans have made changes. dave_hansen is most often the original upload user.

For this example, it looks like the user ‘robert’ performed the typical Tiger fixups and the interchange should be properly routable. You may know of something else that needs to be corrected based on new construction or changes to that intersection.
