Changing GPX Line Width and Color

I would like to modify the default gpx line width and color. I have tried the changes to the default.render.xml file shown below, but without success. Any suggestions as to what I’m doing wrong?


<renderingAttribute name="gpx">
        <case strokeWidth="3:2" cap="ROUND">
            <case nightMode="true" color="#b4b319ff"/>
            <case additional="routePoints=true" pathEffect="6_5" color="#ffff0000"/>
           <case color="#ffff0000"/>
