Daily use of Nominatim service

Hello,

I’d have a question about Nominatim usages.

I’ve used the nominatim API for some weeks. My goal is to get the coordinates of a list of cities (about 20 per day). A script is launched every day in order to get that coordinates.

But I noticed that I haven’t got that infos for maybe two weeks. But when I launch that script on localhost I have no problem.

Therefore it seems my IP is blocked by the Nomitatim service.

Would it be true ? And could you give me more informations about that ?

If the admins blocked your account, they consider what you are doing as a violation of the usage policy.
If that is the case you should consider other options: a paying service, or running your own Nominatim instance

It might also be the case that Nominatim is down. If I’m looking up an address on openstreetmap.org (which I presume, will not be black-listed) I cannot find an address with Nominatim either.
