Does the forum software support making certain statistics about the forum available in a machine-readable manner? I would be particularly interested in the number of posts broken down by month and subforum.
The reason for this request is that I’m currently playing around with a few scripts to make graphs of activity on mailing lists and the forum over time - maybe it would give some interesting results, such as the relative popularity of the communication channels in the various national communities and so on.
I could probably get the numbers for the forum by scraping the post counts off the front page each month, but I’m wondering whether there is a better way.
