Is OpenSatNav "dead"?

Hi,

I just installed OpenSatNav on my Android phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace), couldn’t make it do anything useful (not even Search worked), so I tapped the link inside the app (www.opensatnav.org) - no connection; I tried a link from the Wiki (opensatnav.org) - no connection.
I “binged” OpenSatNav, found a page devoted to the development of the app (on LaunchPad, IIRC) - last dated entry April 2011.

So… is it dead, or still alive and kicking (if so: where?)

I’ve never used it, but it indeed appears abandoned. There aren’t any versioned Launchpad releases since 2009, and no downloads whatsoever since 2011.

Your best bet is probably to look for an alternative on http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Android - maybe sort the table by version to find apps with recent releases.
