I'm adding a bunch of National parks in various states around Australia. Had a look at what's been used as tags at the moment and there's no consistency, the most common are:
boundary=national_park (~1100 occurrences)
leisure=nature_reserve (~2300 occurrences)
Map features page recommends n_t so i'm wondering why there are so many taged as n_r?
What's the convention that most of you guy use in Aus?

As I understand it, there is a formal distinction between a national park and a nature reserve. Here is a list of a myriad of types: http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/parkt … fparks.htm. Each state has its own "national parks" or environmental department, and buried in its website will be a list of which areas are under which classification.
