Dear All,
I provided a lot of stuff, based on OpenStreetMap data for building administrative maps and choropleths in Excel.
You can download them from:
http://en.cont-evo.eu/cont-evo-map/download/free-datasources-for-maps-in-excel/osm
and apply in your projects!
The data are:
- administrative boundaries (and also coastlined version),
- address points for EU countries.
Scale has the meaning, that if you see 0.003 - it means, that the orginally dumped points (from postgis) were divided by 300, if 0.0005 > divided by 2000.
Points and borders have been simplified to allow create shape objects in Excel, but I tried to get acceptable accuracy.
I hope, I will provide some additional formats (as .shp) in the future, but this is very time consuming work and it will not happen quickly
Enjoy!
