As a hobby project, I’ve been using the OSM data with OpenLayers to develop a customized walking guide. When I visit new places, I like exploring on foot but I sometimes find it annoying that I’m constrained by my guidebook’s decision on start and end points, duration, etc. so I thought as fun I’d try writing my own. The ultimate aim is that the site could know the preferences of a user and tailor the guide specifically to them.

It’s still a work in progress(eg it’s very London-centric as that’s where I live) but I’d welcome any comments from people.
