Hi all,

is there any documentation about how to run mod_tile on Ubuntu ?

I’m already generating tiles with mapnik, but now I want to run mod_tile.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a point where you are stopped by a certain problem about installing?

Hi Stephan,

I have already have a look at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mod_tile but this documentation is out of date and out of any detail. I’m using ubuntu 10.4 and apache2.2.16. The mod_tile.so has been successfully loaded into apache but without any results at this moment. I have not yet tried T-rex. Is there any difference in productivity?

I think the problem is renderd …

in renderd.conf there are two lines which points to non existing folders

socketname=/var/run/renderd/renderd.sock
stats_file=/var/run/renderd/renderd.stats
