-Abstürze bei "suchen und Navigieren". z.B. Winterberg, Hochsauerland, Stadtmitte. Wenn ich "In der Karte anzeigen" wähle, stürzt der PNA ab. Das Gleiche passiert auch auf dem PC. Abstürze auch bei Zielen in Asien (Tokyo, Japan etc.)
Ich habe germany_osm_west, version=201108140, capacity=119582174, md5=b8c5c61bba1994910761d20fa3d98f79 und Winterberg, Hochsauerland, Stadtmitte (TOWN CENTRE, Winterberg, Hochsauerlandkreis, Germany) funktionieren dort ohne Fehler (auf dem PC)?

Bei der Eingabe eines Wertes z.B. 100.7 unter "...\TMC Einstellungen\TMC Tuner\Frekvention einstellen (in Mhz)" erscheint nach der Bestätigung auf OK überraschend im "TMC Tuner" 100.0 MHz. Nach dem Komma wurde aus der Sieben eine Null draus. Die Frequenz wird aber korrekt
im Hintergrund übernommen.
Woran könnte dies liegen?
Dialog erwartet einen Punkt und nicht ein Komma, das heißt, wenn Sie 100.7 einstellen, sollte es für "100,7" funktionieren, aber er liest nur "100". Kann das das Problem sein? Ob nein, hat es mir nicht gelungen das zu wiederholen. (ver 11.0.16, GNS GPS/TMC)
P.S. Kann es nicht mit deutschen Windows verursacht? Für das Lesen wird "swscanf" benutzt.

leider kenne ich die Situation vor Ort nicht, sonst würde ich das checken und reparieren
Ich nehme an, dass für 'no_left_turn' richtig Way id=27123787 sein soll. Dort soll Way id=4229276 nicht sein, die geradeaus führt.

Das Problem ist mit relation id='539243' und tag k='restriction' v='no_left_turn' ... way 30642214 und way 4229276 (die gerade Weg).

Hallo Peter,
können Sie die Version 11.0.8. probieren, die jetzt zum Herunterladen zur Verfügung steht? Neben einigen Korrekturen (einschließlich des Auswahls free/kommerzielle Version) gibt es dort neue Testfunktion "GoTo TMC Location". Können Sie es z.B für Lokation D01+12548 probieren und auf der Karte zeigen? Update des Deutschlands für Junidaten würde ich nach dem Wochenende machen (jetzt werden noch die Einbände auf Plz. in ver11 reparieren).

Besonders demoralisierend ist, dass wegen TMC Update Deutschlands verspätet ist und dann seht ihr es gleich nicht. Ich werde reparieren. Soll ich also Deutschland aus Mai auf Update wieder geben?

p.s. Deutschland aus Mai mit repariertem TMC habe ich auf dem Upgrade nur für die Version 11 gegeben, damit alle es nicht wieder herunterziehen müssen.

Aufruf der setup_pc_navigator.exe (10.989kb) aus Install Verzeichniss: Abfrage nach Lizenzschlüssel erscheint! Offline Installation ist anscheinend ein Problem.
Ich bin einverstanden, es ist nächster Parametr, den Setup Utility übergibt 
. Wir reparieren es. Sie können den Schlüssel benutzen, den es aber in setup_pc_navigator.exe schon gibt: B8PTX8RXF4HTFUR3PGRTPURPT

Entschuldigung - maps2.fid ist schlecht. In der Version 10 erwartet man DVD-Installation (mit maps2.fid), falls es keine Weg auf Daten in der Befehlszeile gibt (die ist sonst durch Setup Utility übergegeben).
Die einfachste Möglichkeit würde jetzt die Version 11 (alfa) probieren. Interessieren Sie sich dafür?

Hello! I have just checked the Navigator 10 with Hungarian map. The app is excellent, however I find some problems with the maps coming with it. Budapest is not complete on the map, and some other towns are also not complete. I mean, a lot of streets are missing. But in openstreetmap.org, Budapest seems to be OK on the map. Accorting to the MapFactor site, the map is from April 19, 2011, so I'm using the latest map. Maybe there was some problems with these maps during conversion.

I did a quick check of number of streets and administrative areas in Hungary from planet-110504 and it is similar to April data:
May 253479 links, 3103 admins
April 240453 links, 3078 admins
If you have any particular street/way ID I may check it. The hungary_osm_110517.mca should be available this week ...

Funktioniert eine offline Installation im Auto, oder muss der Rechner online sein?
Der Computer mit der Navigation muss nicht online sein. Es ist nötig Daten und Instalation des PC Navigators zu kopieren (sie sind gewöhnlich in
"c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MapFactor\SetupUtilityFree\Data"
"c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MapFactor\SetupUtilityFree\Patch\setup_pc_navigator.exe"
heruntergezogen) und bei Instalation setup_pc_navigator.exe Dateninhaltverzeichnis zu wählen, wo Daten sich befinden.

only a small update about House Numbers (I was asked about them repeatedly)
... the house numbers available on OSM are not converted to MCA files yet. Anyway, you should be able to search by country/city/street name (crossing) at the moment.
Since March 2011 data you should see _some_ house numbers even in application with OSM data. It was only first attempt to see the data and if simple approximation could have any value for users. There were no comments about it, so it probably did not work well (?). Used tags were 'addr:street', 'addr:housenumber' and 'addr:streetnumber' (with higher priority).
Note, that this is only the first step and more complex cases will hopefully follow soon ...

it looks like some parts of PC Navigator were not properly installed? Did you manually removed some downloaded data? Can you send me whole navigator.log.txt?

TMC funktioniert noch nicht. Fehlermeldung nach wie vor: <no location table data installed>.
Es sollte die TMC Tabelle 'D01' benutzen. Was für eine TMC Quelle benutzen Sie? Benutzen Sie Freesendung? Sind Sie eventuell bereit einige Daten aufzeichnen? ... im settings.xml ist nötig in der Sektion zu ändern

Noch einen Fehler habe ich gefunden: Wenn man ein Ziel eingibt, zu dem keine Route gefunden werden kann, dann muss ich das Programm neu starten. Es sagt dann bei jeder anderen Zieleingabe "Keine Route verfügbar"
Meinen Sie bei navigieren? Wenn Sie neues Ziel eingeben, sollte er automatisch auf das neue Ziel navigieren. Ebenso solle die Navigation ausmachen zu gehen (im Menü)

Neuere Dateien germany_osm*.mca (aus planet-110202.osm) sind verfügbar. Die meisten Flüsse wurden repariert und jetzt sind die Autobahnnummern integriert. Hat jemand TMC in Deutchland versuchen?

Is there any way to get new mca or cab versions from a Linux computer?
At the moment the only way is to use wine (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p … &iId=22242).

Question 2: The EARTH file is very heavy
...(like a part of Germany). If we don't download countries (Japan, New-Zealand, etcs...), can it navigate accross the world on Highway (like Exx/Axx in Europe) with the only EARTH file ?
The earth_osm.mca file contains the "mainland" info, i.e. coastline, country boundaries, major cities (only names in "overview" zoom) and the last update also names of countries. There are no network/routing data, so the answer is NO.

Question: change the hand drag from "Vector" to "Image" (software setting) increase the speed of the drag process.
The navigation process is accelerate, too ?
Batterie is better in "Image" instead of "Vector" ?
No, as far as I know it should not have any influence on navigation or battery.

you are right - the house numbers available on OSM are not converted to MCA files yet. Anyway, you should be able to search by country/city/street name (crossing) at the moment. There is no full-text search or google-like editfield

Ja, das wird das gleiche Problem wie mit Beziehungen bei den Seen (dh. es bearbeiten sich nur way und nicht relation). Ich schaue es an.

That doesn't seem to work. I've turned off rotation yet it still updates the screen at least every second, even if I'm at home and no movement is shown. It seems it competes with my battery display (Batty) which tries to stay on top. Could it be that Navigator determines if it's the top most window and if not updates the screen?
The screen is updated every second (e.g. panel with GPS time), but the map is not "painted" when you do not move. The BLIT is performed always, as far as I know.

When calculating a route, the Navigator sometimes wants to send me over secondary and tertiary roads, instead of prioritizing national (primary routes). I've set it for the fastest route. Is this down to missing speed limits on the roads ?
You can set your own car profile and define average speeds for each road category. Alternatively you can set preferences or disable some types of roads completely.
The average speeds of roads are not perfect . There is no distinction between urban/non-urban roads yet (during conversion of OSM data), when maxspeed tag is present then it is used also as average speed (this is causing some problems when on nearby roads is maxspeed tag missing), etc. Recommendations how to improve default speeds are welcome .
Also, when recording a route, what is the logging interval ? I haven't found an option to set this.
There is no such a option yet - it is every second and it used to be primarily for debugging and not necessarily for mapping. What interval would you use?

The backlight is by default always on - you can change it in settings in Settings > Application > 2nd page Backlight (there should be possibility to switch between "always on" and "system settings").
If you navigate, the program refreshes every GPS position = usually every second (actually it tries to extrapolate position, so the update could be more frequent, depending on your device). If you use only GPS without navigation, then turn off automatic map rotation, and there should be refresh of the GPS sprite only (unless it leaves the center area - then the map is shifted/refreshed).

FYI gibt es jetzt Daten Deutschlands aus planet-110105, die neu auch größere Seen umfassem (Diskussion über Relationen, "Lago di Garda" und "Großen Plöner See" ist besser, aber immer noch einige Probleme) TMC-Daten, extrahieren Andere Typs von POIs und PLZ wurden nur auf die Nummer verengert (so sollte es zum keinen Problem beschribenen im Beispiel von Berlin versiegen).

... I'm wondering at which zoom levels and in which size place names are shown. I expected that it is according to place=city/town/village/hamlet. But it isn't, e.g villages show up at different zoom levels and their names are in different sizes.
The names of places are sorted into 12 "display classes". We use primarily city/town/village/hamlet rule, but we would need more precise rule (the best for us would be priority order of all names). So if available we use population tag. If there is another tag we should use, please let me know.

p.s. I am glad somebody noticed the multi-language feature and liked it . At the moment there is only 'name' and 'name:en', but it could be extended to other languages too (it just was not priority yet).

Ich habe jetzt auf "Relation: Alster (282654)" geschaut und es gibt dort zwei "way", die sich überschneiden, was mir als Fehler gemeldet war. Das gehört aber in andere Diskusion (wie war es in den englisch Version über Navigator FREE angesprochen).
